RISING UP’s Founder, JC Pohl, and Rachelle Fink met many years back in graduate school at Texas State University. Once Rachelle heard about JC’s work she promised to bring him in to work with her students. Now a school counselor at Manor Middle School, Mrs. Fink has not only brought the RISING UP: Coaching Program to her 8th and 6th grade students, but also led the charge to implement our peer-to-peer curriculum at Decker Middle School and Manor High School next school year.
Under the guidance of Tabita Guitierrez, MISD Director of Counseling, we are excited to announce that he will be reaching students through both the RISING UP: Coaching Program and his highly successful TEEN TRUTH assemblies!
I have literally been wanting to bring JC to our campus for years. We are so excited for this opportunity. The staff has been asking for this kind of leadership for our students and their excitement is amazing!
