Having worked in youth driven programming since 2001, veteran producer and nationally certified counselor, JC Pohl, LMFT, launched RISING UP in 2012 to further extend his offerings in the youth market.  Focused on a message of strength and personal power, he designed RISING UP to provide SEL programming geared to help build resilient students.

During his career, JC has created products and services that have reached over 9 million people as well as produced award-winning content for companies such as Warner Brothers, ESPN, and Disney.  In addition to his work in Hollywood, he has also serves as the President & CEO of TEEN TRUTH — A student made film series that has evolved into a leading brand for school assemblies and youth leadership training. Author of Building School Culture From the Inside Out and Building Resilient Students From the Inside Out, Pohl has been featured on various news programs, radio shows, and magazines while working with over 1,000 schools, keynoting educational conferences such as the PTA, CADA, TASC, BOOST, NASC, LEAD, NCSA, ACE, Texas School Safety Center and consulting for brands such as Six Flags, Lifetouch, Union Pacific, Special Olympics, and FIVE STAR.

Stephanie Eberts, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Professional Practice at Louisiana State University and the Coordinator of the School Counseling Concentration. She has also worked as a professional school counselor in K-12 schools for 10 years prior to becoming a counselor educator.  After receiving her Ph.D from Georgia State University she has gone on to teach classes such as developmental issues, counseling children and adolescents, and intermediate/advanced counseling methods.  She follows and teaches the American School Counseling Association (ASCA) National Model, and she believes in the importance of a comprehensive developmental school counseling program at all levels.

In addition to her teaching career, she has also written and presented in the areas of play, school counseling, and group work. She co-wrote the RISING UP: Coaching Program Curriculum with JC Pohl and also serves as a trainer for RISING UP.  She holds a Masters Degree in Community Counseling from Loyola University in New Orleans, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Foreign Language Education from University of Georgia.  

Caleb Campbell is a West Point graduate, former Army Officer and ex-NFL Linebacker. After a college football career at West Point full of accolades and awards, Caleb made history when he was selected by the Detroit Lions in the 2008 NFL Draft. He is the American dream that most students strive to become, but it wasn’t until he was cut for the last time by the Kansas City Chiefs that he was forced to face a hard truth: He had a lived a life of strength on the outside, but internally he was falling apart.

Despite living out his childhood dream and having a life that many would envy, a day never went by where Caleb felt he’d found his place in this world. Having lived through rejection, depression, self medication, and thoughts of suicide, Caleb understands the pressures that your students are facing. Caleb is a leading mental health advocate for teens and one of RISING UP’s very best trainers.

With a rock solid background in marketing and communication, Audrey serves as RISING UP’s client services coordinator. She helps reach out to past clients, and educate incoming clients regarding our ability to build school culture and empower student voice.
